PROGETTO FOOD-ER: Emilia-Romagna International Network for Education and Industrial Research on Food and Beverage
FOOD-ER is a widespread infrastructure for higher education and research in the agri-food sector, aimed at improving the attractiveness and internationalization of the Emilia-Romagna Food Valley.
FOOD-ER aims to promote the innovation in the agri-food sector of Emilia-Romagna, implementing the training offer for the preparation of professionals capable of competing on the present and future job market in the international context.
It is an example of virtuous integration between research, production, training and education and between universities, food business operators and government and it represents an Hub where possible solutions to global challenges are studied to give answers to the questions and needs not only of Emilia-Romagna, but of Italy, Europe, the World.

- To design international inter-university study programs, promoting the Emilia-Romagna Region as a pole of attraction for international talents and guaranteeing a constant flow of high specializations capable of facing the new challenges posed by the complexity of the global food system.
- To support the growth of our production chains, promoting the creation of innovative companies in the food sector, also in terms of services and products, as well as of technological start-ups and public-private partnerships in the food sector.
